Here at Brackenrigg we provide beautiful self-catering holiday cottage Lake District, we have a beautiful Victorian Country House set in its own extensive gardens and just 50m away is Brackenrigg Barn Cottages which are three lovely cottages in a 19th century converted barn all set within acres of idyllic grounds with paddock, meadow, woodland and beautiful gardens and stunning views to Helvellyn and the Dodds range of fells.

We are situated in a prime location nestled in the stunning Naddle Valley, less than 3 miles from Keswick and 10 mins from Grasmere, a rural and quiet place where you can walk the fells and valleys from the door. There is plenty of garden space and grounds around Brackenrigg House and Brackenrigg barn Cottages, which means it is a perfect space for children to play as well as on the property there is an adventure play tower and a ball play paddock to keep them entertained. It is also the best place to find a quest spot to watch wildlife such as badgers, foxes, red deer, hare and many red squirrels which frequent the garden and surrounding lands and woods regular, as well as many species of song birds and the occasional bird of prey like kestrels, sparrowhawks and buzzards, as well as tawny barn owls and in the summer you might see house martins nesting and in the evening in to the night you can spot bats around the property.

We painstakingly clean and prepare each of the cottages taking pride to detail to ensure you have a perfect start to your holiday. We are continuing to adhere to all Covid regulations that are in place and keeping up with sanitising procedures to ensure we minimise the potential for cross infection between lets and to maintain safety for our staff, this will apply until further notice.

We have 4 beautiful holiday cottages available from Brackenrigg house which is a spacious country house sleeping 10 with 5 ensuite bedrooms, Bleaberry which is a cosy studio holiday cottage sleeping 2 with double beds, Brocklebeck a charming studio barn conversion sleeping 2 with double bed and the Sett a spacious holiday cottage sleeping 4-5 with 2 bedrooms.
